About me

Thanks for visiting my website, here’s a little bit about me.  I’ve been a dog lover all my life, growing up with a variety of labradors, and later on beagles and rescue greyhounds.

After 20 years as a management consultant, I knew that I wanted a career change and was taking a short sabbatical whilst deciding what to focus on next.

I was very fortunate during that period to meet Bear, the beautiful German Shepherd you see in the picture, and his lovely owner Carol.  They were my inspiration to start Wags Whilst Walking and become a full time dog walker.

It’s very exciting to run your own business, although I’d never realised before that there are so many things to consider if you want to provide a great service; equipment, insurance, marketing, engaging with customers, regulations, service agreements, responding quickly, juggling schedules, being your own company’s ambassador… and that’s before you’ve even got the leads on the dogs! 

Currently I am studying for my Ofqual Level 3 in Dog Walking & Pet Sitting.

I still can’t believe how fortunate I am, that come rain or shine, I can spend my days doing what I love most, having a great time with dogs!
